After all the conflicts and investigations made regarding the votes manipulation chaos that has been happening since the last couple months, the Produce 101 franchise has been under fire for being dishonest in their final line-up members to debut under I*ZONE and X1.

What’s initially started as an allegation, the votes manipulation has turned out to be true and the final line-up had been finalized even before the show came to the end. This brings to the meaning that the votes from audience were mere gimmick and a strategy of marketing.

And months later, investigations after investigations, the Produce 101 franchise had finally been caught to cheat the results and came out guilty. And on January 6, the agencies of the X1 members unanimously announced the group will be disbanding.

The agencies are:

Play M Entertainment, Yuehua Entertainment, TOP Media, OUI Entertainment, MBK Entertainment, Woollim Entertainment, DSP Media, Starship Entertainment and Brand New Music.

Following the statement, CJ ENM revealed that they were working for X1 to resume activities, but they couldn’t help but respect the decision of the members’ agencies for X1’s disbandment.
