The comedy reality show is back for another season. Mark Adam took home RM100,000 in winning the previous season of Bintang Bersama Bintang (BBB). So, who will be the winner for this season? 

Bintang Bersama Bintang 2019 (BBB 2019) will showcase five local comedians who will make you laugh your lungs out every Sunday night for eight weeks starting this Sunday, the 3rd of March from 9.00PM to 10.30PM live from Sri Pentas 2, Plaza Alam Sentral, Shah Alam. 

Welcoming Sharif Zero and Mamak Puteh as the first comers in the competition will heat things up while they compete against all stars Chiwan, Achey and Shuk.  

The five comedians will be competing with each other in the running to become the champion of BBB 2019 with cash prize of RM10,000 for weekly winners.

Mark Adam will come back on this season as a judge alongside Saiful Apek. The judges are responsible in judging the participant’s weekly performance where 50% of the marks are from the judges and another 50% are from the viewer’s online voting at www.xtra.com.my/BBB2019. 

Saiful Apek says,

“My expectations for this season is that there are no recycled jokes. I am looking for newer and fresher ideas from the comedians.

“In terms of singing, I am lucky to have Mark Adam with me in the jury as he is more experienced with music.”

Elly Mazlein will be hosting BBB2019 on her own without Shuk. Managing the whole show for her will be challenging but she will do her best in keeping the crowd entertained and to deliver her best in hosting the show alone. 

As for Sharif Zero, he is well known to always be on stage with his fellow siblings. But this time he is going solo and joining the competition on his own. 

Sharif Zero told xtra, 

“It does feel rather awkward not having to perform without my siblings but this gives me the opportunity to let me think of my sketches and to layout my performances on my own.

“It will be challenging but my brothers are always supporting me and telling me that although we are all busy with our solo events, we will still be in contact and they have been supportive as ever.” 

The comedians have to utilize a time of four minutes, including a period of two minutes of singing in their sketch.  The participants are also allowed to invite a special guest to make their sketch more outstanding. 

A behind the scene special ‘Komik Bintang Bersama Bintang’ will be on air every Sunday evening at 6PM on TV3. Viewers can catch the comedy reality show live on TV3Malaysia’s Youtube channel and on our live streaming portal, tonton.
