Make your way to the theme park and get ready to prove yourself wrong, or right, at the one-of-a-kind “It’s Wipeout Wild Water Run” Challenge.
Held at Mali Cove, the challenge is designed to give you a chance to feel what it is actually like competing in a challenge similar to the TV show.
Made of a number of obstacles on the floating inflatables, the challenge offers daily giveaways includes JBL speakers, and the ultimate champion of the month will battle it out to win a GoPro Hero 7 worth RM1,900!
But that is not all that’s happening at Mali Cove.
Other happenings include the Party Zone where guests are set to be entertained by a DJ and a variety of shows and performances, while the Kids Zone has the little ones occupied with a foam party, a ball pit, a floatie toys pool and exciting activities.
TEA WITH SANTA AND LOADS MORE
Those happenings at Mali Cove are actually parts of the themepark’s month-long holiday celebration “It’s Wipeout” is on until Dec 30.
The fun celebration continues to Beach Bistro that offers a host of exciting activities.
Every Saturday and Sunday from 2.30pm to 5pm until Dec 30, the bistro is hosting Santa’s Afternoon Tea.
Santa Clause turns up at a meet-and-greet session to distribute surprise goodies.
Also happening is a Gingerbread Cookie making demonstration and a movie time session with the park’s very own mascots, Captain Quack and Lady Quack.
During the weekends (Friday, Saturday & Sunday), the Beach Bistro hosts a special BBQ dinner featuring everybody’s mouthwatering holiday barbeque favourites, including decadent desserts.
While the older ones pit their skills at Sunway Lagoon’s very own Flow Rider and Dunking Machine activities, the little ones can enjoy a bounciful playtime at the gigantic Inflatable Castle where they will be able to live out their fantasies.
FIRST EVER NIGHT PARADE
The fun, however, does not stop when the sun comes down. The theme park takes on a party mood when the highlight of the night takes centre stage.
Its first ever Night Parade begins at 7.30pm and is an event that is not to be missed.
It is a fanfare that includes Captain and Lady Quack decked in Christmas attire, unicyclists, jugglers, balloon bearers, a DJ truck and Santa himself riding on a sleigh.
The electrifying night continues until 8pm (when the park closes for the day) throughout the campaign.
A VARIETY OF SHOWS
While all these events and activities make for a fun-filled day, Sunway Lagoon is raising the bar even higher with a variety of shows that take place throughout the day at various locations within the park.
Look out for the Swashbuckling Christmas Show, a Jingle Bells Rock!, Evolution of Dance performance, a Slime Time event, a special fire performance and a Tale of Mount Berapi and Waves of Fun show. Those with a penchant for animals and wildlife can enjoy specially curated Wildlife Shows at the Wildlife Theatre.
Visitors to Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon, in the meantime, will also have a chance to meet and greet with their favourite Nickelodeon characters especially Sponge Bob Square Pants, Patrick Star in their Christmas overlays and, not forgetting, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Dora the Explorer.
A GLOWING FESTIVAL
For those looking for a great place to spend their New Year’s Eve, Sunway Lagoon’s Glowtopia Festival is the place to be. Brought all the way from the USA, the festival will be at Sunway Lagoon for the very first time in Malaysia!
Visitors can look forward to a plethora of glow-in-the-dark activities including the notorious Blacklight Slide, the intensely fun Glow Battle Zone, live performances and a breathtaking fireworks countdown show to honour the spirit of the new year.
