The 14th General Election will be held on May 9th, 2018, and Media Prima Berhad (MPB) will be airing a few special programmes where you can get the inside scoop on everything about the preparation for the election.

The First To Deliver campaign is a special movement where the company will air the latest updates and results across all MPB TV channels – TV3, ntv7, 8tv, and TV9.

They will also air many special programmes about the general election on each TV channel too. Here are the 8 special shows you can follow to school yourself about GE14.

1. Program Khas: Penamaan Calon

This one is a special show that will air live on April 28th, 2018, which is the day where all parties will announce their candidates’ names.

It is a 3-hour show that will give extra information on the selected candidates, the process of selecting the candidates, the Election Commission of Malaysia and more. 

Program Khas: Penamaan Calon will air live on TV3 from 8am to 12pm.

2. Mandat

Mandat is a live talk show hosted by Izwan Azir Saleh, Norzie Pak Wan Chek, Azaria Tagaya and Mior Malek Abdul Raiyani.

They will invite special guests such as politicians, academics, and political analysts onto the show to discuss about the topics which everyone are puzzled about.

It will also be aired live from different locations across Malaysia so that people get to see what’s really going on in different states.

You can catch it on TV3 starting April 28th until May 8th from 9pm to 10pm.

3. Terkini Khas

If you want to keep yourself updated about everything that’s happening on early voting day (May 5th), this programme will air everything to you live.

Watch it on TV3 from 7.30am to 5pm.

4. Dakwat Di Jari

Dakwat Di Jari is a programme for women to express their thoughts and opinions on democracy as women are encouraged to take part in the general election too.

This is a 15-episode programme hosted by renowned hosts, Hawa Rizwana and Mas Zharif Aziz Desa.

Be empowered by the show on TV9 from April 29th to 8th May 2018 at 5pm.

5.  Detik Ini

This is a special programme that will share the latest updates on the day of selected candidates which falls on April 28th. Besides, this show will share everything that’s happening on the day of early voting.

It will air on TV9 from 7.30am to 9.30am and once more on May 5th from 8.30am until 11.30am.

6. View Point

View Point is a live talk show hosted by famous news reporters; Raymond Goh and Azleena Najri. 

This show will air on ntv7 on April 28th to May 8th from 10.30pm to 11pm.

7. News In Brief

Covering the latest updates and news on the day of selecting candidates, News In Brief will bring you up-to-date information on who are the selected candidates and which area are they fighting for. 

This show will air at ntv7 on April 28th from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

8. Zoom In PRU-14

This show will discuss a few hot topics about the election and it will be done in 2 different languages – Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin. 

It will be hosted by Saberi Abdul Malek, Mohamad Shafiq Adnan and guest host, Ng Yeen Seen, the Chief Executive of Center For Research Advisory & Technology, and Lim Teck Hoe, the Assistant CEO of National Institute of Leadership & Management.

These shows will definitely help us learn anything and everything about the upcoming elections. It is especially important for new voters to check out these programmes as we can be more educated about this quadrennial event.
