1. The official statement from Kensington Palace

Kensington palace officially released a statement on Monday. The statement reads,

“His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince Harry to Ms. Meghan Markle. His Royal Highness and Ms. Markle became engaged in London earlier this month.

“Prince Harry has informed Her Majesty the Queen and other close members of his family. Prince Harry has also sought and received the blessing of Ms. Markle’s parents.”

2. Sweet, romantic, and natural

In an interview, Meghan revealed that Harry got down on one knee and proposed to her during their “roasting chicken” cozy typical night at Kensington Palace’s Nottingham Cottage. Meghan described the proposal as “sweet, romantic, and natural”.

3. Prince Harry designed the ring himself!

Rumour has it that the diamond engagement ring was designed by Prince Harry himself. The center stone is a diamond from Botswana while the two outside diamonds are from his late mother, Princess Diana’s collection.

The couple presented themselves to the world with a photocall and 20-minute television interview at Kensington Palace and the public display of affection says it all. They are IN LOVE. #Feels
