Fashion has no barrier

It seems only yesterday we watch this designer showcase her collection at Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week, but for this Perak-born designer he has no limit when it comes to fashion, especially when his designs made an iconic appearance at the Golden Globe Awards 2020. 

Malaysian fashion designer, Khoon Hooi is making waves in Hollywood when two actress were spotted wearing his designs on the Golden Globes Red Carpet 2020.

Actress Karen Pittman who got nominated in TV series The Morning Show made her glamorous appearance in the designer dress, wearing a strapless nude pink gown embellished with feathers from Khoon Hooi Bianca  Spring/Summer 2019 collection. Karen donned her hair in a classic bun with a pair of simple diamonds earrings, making her looked sensational. 

Meanwhile, actress Jennifer Goodwin, who’s known for her TV series Once Upon A Time, looks fashionable and classy, in her orange dress from the same collection, for the 2020 Golden Globes Luncheon.

But, this wasn’t the exactly the first time Khoon Hooi’s iconic designs were spotted on Hollywood celebrities. In December, Singer-songwriter and pop star Katy Perry was first seen in one of his iconic designs at the annual 101.3 KDWB’s 2019 Jingle Ball holiday concert in Minnesota. 

Katy wore a stunning vibrant yellow dress that featured an oversized bow at the front. The collection is from Khoon Hooi Mara Collection 2020.
