Tengku Iman Afzan, the daughter of Yang Dipertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah with his second wife, actress Julia Rais for the first time graced the ceremony of “menempah bidan”. The ceremony has become a tradition when a royal member is pregnant with their first child.
“It has become a tradition when you are pregnant with your first child, tradition is very important in our family, it has to be remembered and not to forget something special in our culture “said Tengku Puteri Iman.
The ceremony was also attended by the Ahli Jumaah Pemangku Raja Pahang Tengku Puteri Seri Kemala Pahang Tengku Hajah Datuk Aishah Sultan Ahmad Shah and members of the royal household.
Tengku Puteri Iman also graced the “melenggang perut” ceremony.
Pahang’s royal couple, Tengku Puteri Iman Afzan and Tengku Abu Bakar Ahmad Tengku Arif Bendahara Tengku Abdullah got married last year and now excitedly waiting for the arrival of their first born.
