FNC Entertainment announced that CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa will be enlisting into the military on 5th of March, 2018.

And according to Allkpop, he has cancelled everything on his schedule! This has left fans in shock as no one expected this at all.

Earlier this month, the lead singer was accused of having received preferential treatment in his admission to the applied arts department at the graduate school of Kyung Hee University in Seoul in 2016 despite not showing up to a mandatory interview.

Although he had released on official apology letter, many are still criticising him for using his ‘superstar’ status as his admission to Kyung Hee University.

Then, Sarangoppa reported that there were rumours being spread by past FNC Entertainment’s staffs saying Yonghwa’s reason for applying for graduate school is to delay his admission into the military.

According to Allkpop, FNC Entertainment released an official statement saying,

“Jung Yonghwa has been summoned for his mandatory military service, and will enlist this March 5. 

“As a result, all overseas tours scheduled after the January 27 performance of ‘2018 Jung Yong Hwa Live [Room 622]’ in Hong Kong have been inevitably canceled. 

“We ask both domestic and international fans, who share your precious time and provide your attention, for understanding.

“We will do our best to take adequate measures so that no one will suffer damages due to the remaining overseas tour shows.

“We also plan to release an additional announcement regarding previously announced CNBLUE tours, and that Yonghwa will not be able to attend these events. 

“Please send your support so that [Yonghwa] can fulfill his military duties diligently as the nation calls on him, and return again with a mature and healthy image.”

According to the statement, with the date set on 5th of March, it means that the last public schedule for Yong Hwa would be ‘2018 Jung Yong Hwa Live [Room 622]’ in Hong Kong solo concert.

Noooo! That’s way too soon! 

Let’s just hope that all goes well for him as he enlists into the military. We will see you again after 2 years Oppa! I will definitely miss you! *sobbing*
